In many regions of North America, small farms have joined together in networks that provide apprentices and workers with a more complete education and training program than any one farm would be able to provide. These “CRAFT” networks are a Collaborative Regional Alliance for Farmer Training, and have been developed in several areas based on a model first established in the region that includes Western Massachusetts and Upper Hudson River Valley of New York State.
